Paper flower ornament

I was browsing through Style Me Pretty and was linked to How About Orange blog. There are so many cute DIY craft projects there. I love the simple, easy to do DIY projects that make such great impact to any decor. The one that intrigue me the most is the paper flower ornament. The instruction seems so easy to make, and they are so versatile. I love decoration ideas that have to do with paper because you can just change them so easily to fit your need.

This one can be used as Christmas ornaments. The red and white reminds me of those mint candies.
This one can certainly be used at bridal showers, just change the color to your theme

Now for the instructions.
1. Cut one piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper into 1" strips (oriented landscape so you end up with 11 strips).

2. Stack them and staple them once in the center, then fold the stack in half to form a little book. Like so:
3. Put a little piece of double-stick tape at the tip of the first "page." Then bend it inward toward the center and stick it down. Repeat for every "page" until you have a circular flower shape.

4. Hang with invisible thread. You can buy clear thread at a fabric store. Of course, you can hang them with anything.
